Commonly known as the 'Butterfly Bush' Buddleia is a must for attracting butterflies and all other pollinating insects including bees and moths into your garden.
There are now many different cultivars of buddleia and we truly believe that there is a buddleia to suit every garden whatever planting scheme or colour you have!
In our own wildlife garden we grow close to thirty species of Buddleia so that we can assess their benefit for wildlife and in turn bring the best to you, our customers!
As its name suggest Buddleia - Buddleja Davidii - White Profusion is a white flowering version of this fantastic wildlife plant. We find in our own wildlife garden that this is the best Buddleia that we grow for attracting moths.
Buddeia can be left to grow into a small tree but for best performance we recommend that each Spring you prune your Buddleia right down to the lowest emerging young growth. This will generate good strong fast young growth that new flowers will form on. Even pruned like this your Buddleia will still reach up to 6feet tall. Alternatively, to keep your plant slightly bigger consideration can be given to pruning every other year but this will cause a more untidy plant.
